| Peter Scott | is a chartered town and country planner, with management and marketing qualifications (MRTPI, MBA, MCIM). He has over 30 years experience in countryside planning, recreation and tourism work in the public and consultancy sectors. He established Peter Scott Planning Services in 1987 (incorporated in 2002) as a specialist consultancy operating throughout the U.K. and providing services relating to - countryside access national, regional and country park planning countryside and visitor management countryside recreation and sport tourism development and marketing environmental management.
Projects undertaken by Peter Scott Planning Services include – international and national access policy and practice reviews walking, cycling and multi-use access strategies for Northern Ireland, Fife, Sefton Coast, Great North Forest, Glyndwr’s Way and the proposed North West Coastal Trail visitor and environmental management strategies for the Mourne AONB, Ben/Glen Nevis area and Sefton Coast providing business/development plans for the Mourne Heritage Trust, Nevis Partnership and Lagan Canal Regeneration Trust reviewing ranger/countryside management services for national agencies, national parks and local authorities and assessing national park costs and staffing requirements. Peter Scott Planning Services’ Nevis Strategy was commended in the UK Planning Awards and in the Scottish Executive’s and RTPI Scotland’s Scottish Awards for Quality in Planning. sputes etc.
